Transfer Agreements

No matter the degree, there’s a transfer agreement available to assist you in planning your move to ECU!

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement

The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) between the UNC System institutions and the NC Community College System gives the following assurances to students with an earned Associate in Arts or Associate in Science from a North Carolina Community College:

  • A general education waiver
  • Acceptance of CAA coursework with a grade of C- or higher
  • Transfer Guides for each ECU major

Uniform Articulation Agreements

The UNC System institutions and the NC Community Colleges participate in 7 uniform articulation agreements (UAAs) for students completing the following degrees at a NC community college:

Bi-lateral Agreements

Bi-lateral agreements exist between ECU and individual NC Community Colleges for associate degrees not covered under the CAA or a UAA, such as Associate in/of Applied Science degrees.
